Raised with care

Our bees are kept for their health and wellbeing. Honey only when there is a natural surplus.

Foraged in Antigua

From woodland, wildflowers and coastal flora around English Harbour and the surrounding hills.

Raw & unfiltered

Never heated or heavily processed. Just raw, pure honey the way nature intended.

Small batches

Each harvest is limited and unique, reflecting the season, the bees and the landscape.

Responsible by design

Good for the colonies. Connected to the landscape.

Woodland shade, dependable water, responsible colony numbers and careful monitoring support strong bees while their foraging helps local flowering plants, gardens and fruit trees.

Woodland apiaries

Hives are placed among retained local trees for shade, screening and wind protection.

Surplus-only harvests

Honey is taken only when colonies have enough stores for their own continued strength.

Local pollination

Foraging bees transfer pollen between flowers and help the surrounding ecosystem thrive.

Questions

A little more about the honey

Is the honey produced in Antigua?

Yes. Old Fort Honey Co. is being developed around locally managed colonies in the Monk’s Hill and English Harbour area of Antigua.

Can I order online for delivery?

Not at launch. The website is designed to show current availability and direct customers to approved local stockists.

What does raw and unfiltered mean?

The honey is handled with minimal processing and is not fine-filtered to remove all naturally occurring particles. Final label claims will be checked against the finished production method and local requirements.

Why does natural honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is a normal natural process. Placing the closed container in gently warm water can return it to a more liquid consistency.

Is honey suitable for babies?

Honey must not be given to infants under 12 months.
